The First Saturday of the month in Austin Texas is the Family Meeting at the Northland Group. Family meetings were big in the Midwest where I first found recovery. Usually an Al-Anon and an AA speaker so that both sides of the disease can come together and spend an evening in united joy over recovery.

Mark P. is a special friend, in that he was a former sponsee. Woo. We had some times together. I'm so eternally grateful to see him sober and thriving today. I hope you know when he speaks about the lows he reached, I was there to attest to much of it.
