IAC Newsletter – November 2008
(International Advisory Council for Homosexual Men & Women in AA)

The November 2008 IAC Newsletter provides extensive information about the upcoming 2010 International AA Convention in San Antonio, along with major updates on LGBTQ+ AA meeting directories, volunteer opportunities, and historical highlights from across the fellowship.

📚 Understanding Box 4-5-9
A helpful section explains Box 4-5-9, AA’s official service newsletter, published every two months and mailed to every GSR in the U.S. and Canada. Instructions are provided for individuals or groups who want to subscribe.
🗂 IAC Meeting Directory & Online Updates
Recognizing the growth of LGBTQ+ AA worldwide, IAC emphasizes the need for accurate and updated group information:
Over 1,800 gay/lesbian AA meetings in the U.S.
More than 60 international cities hosting LGBTQ+ meetings
About 40 LGBTQ+ roundups each year across North America
The meeting directory is undergoing revision and will be available both online and in printed booklet form. Groups are encouraged to submit updated information directly through www.iac-aa.org using the self-service system.

IAC invites AAs to submit designs for a special 2010 Convention button, welcoming both artists and amateurs. Designs must include the IAC name or initials.
