(International Advisory Council for Homosexual Men & Women in AA)

The May 2010 IAC Newsletter is an extensive, information-packed guide to the 2010 International AA Convention in San Antonio—including schedules, LGBTQ-focused workshops, volunteer opportunities, and full details for the IAC Hospitality Suite and Dance. This issue served as the primary roadmap for LGBTQ+ AA members attending the convention that summer.
The newsletter opens with the general convention timeline, highlighting key moments for lesbian and gay attendees, including:

💻 Website Recovery Update
A major part of this issue is a deeply honest report on the multi-year struggle to restore the IAC website, which had been:
Broken
Hijacked
Unusable for long periods
Painfully slow to repair
The committee shares lessons learned, gratitude for member patience, and a renewed plan for:
A functional LGBTQ+ AA meeting database
Roundup listings
Faster updates
Direct email communication
A new website was officially “on the way."
📬 IAC Representatives & Contact Info
The newsletter includes a full listing of regional reps, open service positions, and a call for new reps in more than 25 U.S. states and Canadian provinces.
A Treasurer’s Report notes:
Balance as of March 31, 2010: $18,772.14
Restricted convention funds included within that total.
Finally, the issue encourages members to support the AA Grapevine, contribute stories, and stay connected through the temporary NING network.
