IAC Newsletter – February 2010
(International Advisory Council for Homosexual Men & Women in AA)

The February 2010 IAC Newsletter marks the beginning of a new service cycle, offering an introduction to the incoming IAC Executive Committee and outlining renewed goals for communication, connection, and support for LGBTQ+ members of Alcoholics Anonymous.
This brief update opens with warm New Year greetings from the 2010–2011 IAC Executive Committee, which officially took office on January 1, 2010. The newly seated committee members include:
Chair – Lynn W. (Houston, TX)
Deputy Chair – Fred S. (Reeds Spring, MO)
Secretary – Kevin W-S. (Houston, TX)
Treasurer – Geoff M. (San Antonio, TX)
Advisor I – Mike N. (Big Falls, WI)
Advisor II – Gary C. (Royal Oak, MI)
Advisor III – Vacant
Past Chair – Hebert G. (Providence, RI)
The issue highlights a major challenge of the time: IAC’s website being nonfunctional for an extended period. The committee acknowledges this has been difficult for members trying to stay connected. A new webmaster has since stepped in, and the committee expresses optimism that the website will soon be fully restored.
To maintain communication during this transition, IAC established several temporary contact channels:
Temporary Email: iac2010@sbcglobal.net
Transition to Gmail planned once the website infrastructure is repaired
IAC Social Network on NING: http://iac-aa.ning.com — used for communication about the 2010 International Convention hospitality suite and dance
New Mailing Address: IAC, 9226 Barr Circle, Houston, TX 77080
Members are invited to email their names and contact information so they can receive future updates, including the next full IAC Newsletter scheduled for release in March 2010. The committee encourages members to share thoughts, comments, and needs related to IAC’s online presence as it undergoes reconstruction.
